Do details matter to you? Color coordination? Do you have a sense of what you want your guests to feel when they walk into your event? I am known in the industry for my keen attention to detail, color coordination and making sure the design incorporates multi-textural elements. Seriously, let me be the crazy lady that tells your vendors the color is just a shade off...
What about calligraphy? Do you love those signs you see on pinterest and other sites? Name cards and guest seating charts? Although I was struck with the "party planning" bug at an early age (you mean not everyone plans parties in their heads?), my start in the wedding and event industry was first influenced by my love for calligraphy and lettering. What started out as creating invitations, name plates and table cards quickly turned into full on planning and coordinating events of all types and sizes.

Erin Hansen Events & Designs was officially launched in 2014 after 9 years of designing and coordinating weddings, events and business conferences through word of mouth. I am a planner by nature. I found that once one event was over, I was already onto figuring out what I could plan and design next.
Do you have a particularly strong family or friend group and want to ensure they will help your day go as smoothly as possible? My first career was in education; both teaching middle school students mathematics and coaching teachers how to teach math in fun, engaging ways. If I can manage 120 middle school students with patience and love, or better yet, middle school teachers, I can manage your guests!
You want what you want, but you don't know how to budget? I realized as well that the reward in teaching is the same as the reward in designing and planning - INSPIRING OTHERS. Not only am I a Southern California native, but I also have planned a variety of events which led me to develop close relationships and contacts with a variety of vendors spanning coastal California and the wine regions of Santa Ynez. I pride myself on offering my clients a budget analysis in order to find vendors and venues best suited to their event, rather than only using a select few.

Using my background of 17 years in education and love of learning, I continuously attend conferences and design and marketing workshops to stay on top of the trends in design and event planning.
